The Caves of the Pandavas
This area has five old caverns, which are supposedly where the name “Pachmarhi” comes from. Legend has it that the Pandavas resided here while they were exiled. The cleanest and most beautiful cave is known as Draupadi’s Cave, while the darkest one is known as Bhim Kothari.
Rajendra Giri
Rajendra Giri is a hill in Pachmari named after India’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. He was deeply fascinated by this hill, and its beautiful views and enchanting atmosphere made him visit it many times. A place where he used to stay has now been named Ravi Shankar Bhavan. The surroundings of this hill attract many tourists due to their natural charm.
Handi Khoh
Handi Khoh is the deepest and most dangerous valley in Pachmari, with a depth of 300 feet. Surrounded by dense forests, the sound of flowing water can clearly be heard here. Local people call this valley Handi Khoh.
Satpura National Park
A trip to Pachmari would not be complete without taking in the magnificent views of Satpura National Park. Established in 1981, the park spans 524 square kilometers. Here, you can see many birds, tigers, leopards, nilgai, deer, and various other animals. Facilities for food and accommodation are available near the park.
Tamiya Tamiya
Tamiya Tamiya is one of the most popular and frequently visited tourist spots in Pachmarhi. Known for the Tamiya Hill, Tamiya Rock Painting, Tamiya Viewpoint, and Tamiya Sunset Point, tourists spend hours here enjoying the beauty of the sunset. The Satpura hills reveal their true splendor from here. Tamiya is known for its many scenic attractions and is located about 84 km from Pachmarhi. You can reach it by private vehicle or by using public transportation.
