They are just 20-35 km away from the beach. They are well-connected to the major cities. You can hop into a local tuk-tuk or taxi to reach Tarkali. Malvan is also just 7km away, so you can also drive up to here by state-run buses, taxis, or from Mumbai, Goa, or Pune by the Malvan Kasal road. By flight, you can go up to the Goa or Kolhapur airport and then take a taxi from there. For your local travels, if you don’t have a car, then hop on to mini-buses, auto-rikshaws, and taxis.
