Divine God’s presence, along with the sacred spirit and events, makes the place so blessed and holy. It becomes part of our lives and our connection to that place of faith.

People travel across borders to visit the city and take darshan or temple, churches, and pray at mosques too. It’s not only about one spot but the city vibes, mountains, forests, spots, water, sea, which are also considered to be visited by God and the presence. These places have a different peaceful aura and vibe. Positivity is what you will experience; simply just sitting and meditating or just being there shoots away all your worries. These places also give us strength and hope for tomorrow.

People also go here to gauge their religion in a closer form and grow in faith. This bliss makes them feel attracted to visit very often here. People also visit these places during festivals or special religious events.

Generations and decades have passed, and people pray; burial rituals, offerings, and even community devotion events that happen in these places have special importance.

These spots also carry special cosmic energies; these shrines and universal peace make people walk through the path of silence and meet the divine. Government and religious bodies have maintained these places so people can visit them. You will also see how beautifully the gods’ home and town are lit up; the decorations and daily prayer vibes make it such a wholesome experience.

The ancient and 1000 yr old artistic carvings and stories on the walls depict how the old kings and dynasties built it with respect for God

Today, the Government preserves them, while the archaeological department suddenly finds some new spots for places of worship. These spots are known as Tirthas, and its spiritual journey for each individual to learn about them from our immediate homes or in our daily journey of faith and finally reach these places of worship.

If we take some examples like places like Gaya, Mecca, Madina, Kedarnath, Velankanni, Italy, Mount Olympus, Rishikesh, etc the list goes endless.

Ujjain – Mahakal Nagari

Among the 7 holy cities in India, Ujjain is one of them. It’s home to Lord Shiva’s temple called Mahakaleshwar.

It is also part of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Shiva. It is also known as the city of temples, as besides the main place of Shiva, it has almost 100 more temples to visit and take darshan from. Imagine the peace and vibe you can feel once you enter and experience it. Early Morning rises with temple bells and mantras, and the day ends with soothing bhajans and aartis. It is an ancient sacred city in Madhya Pradesh. Easy access from the city of Indore, and you have Ujjain station. It is on the banks of the river Kshipra. It is also one of the sacred liberation cities, Sapta Puri, and a great spiritual hub.

Earlier, it was known as Avantika / Ujjayini, which is due to its connection with the Avanti Kingdom and dates back to the Iron Age. King Vikramaditya, poet Kalidasa, and Lord Krishna studied in an ashram here in Ujjain, which is known as Guru Sandipan Ashram.

Mahakaleshwar temple is one of the supreme Jyotirlingas. It is worshiped as the master of time, death a universe. Devotees pray here to remove fear and grant moksha. It is south-facing and the only deity facing the south. It is connected with tantric traditions, and where shiva invoked as a protector against death.

You should also not miss attending the Bhasma Aarti, which is performed daily, but you should do it with prior bookings. The temple is beautifully renovated; you will also see Mahakal Nagari alongside. Both normal and Vip darshans are made available.

The temple is also known as the Guardian of Ujjain. This town also hosts the Simhastha Kumbh Mela every 12 years. You can’t miss the temple architecture; it’s too beautiful. The Maratha, Bhimija, and Chalukya designs are worth seeing. Nagchandreshwar is an upper-level shrine that’s open to the public only on Nag Panchami.
