Gyirong Port – Tibet India China Friendship Bridge

Gyirong Port

Gyirong Port! India from above, from the sky, looks like a structure on the map, but when you get closer, you will be amazed to see so much more. A massive piece of land with so many states and cities. You can easily travel and explore anywhere you want in this country.

No one will ask you for any particular documents to do so. That’s what we call free India. Filled with love, culture, and traditions one can immerse in.

Imagine so many faiths too that make India have unity in diversity. When you enter scriptures, you will come to know a lot about the many religions that live here together.

Stories and beliefs are endless, be it any religion you want to pick to learn about.

Many places have events that are connected to mythology, and people visit here as a tradition and God’s word.

In a year, alongside their professional or personal vacations, they do want to visit a temple. mosque or church to pray and take blessings from the one they believe in.

Every city has something to give. A powerful place where peace, faith, and love for god can be witnessed. Some places are also known to fulfill wishes.

Some places are called tirth staan. These, in some religions, are said to be visited in your lifetime. Well, it’s not only Indians who are interested in visiting these places but many foreigners, Readers, believers, Mythology lovers, researchers, and curiosity driven wish to go here.

When you enter these tirthas your mind boggles as the amount of positivity and peace you sense here is endless. People come here to visit, but their minds and lives change. Some even want to stay a week or a month and learn more or just meditate and refresh their minds. Some especially come just to perform certain rites and rituals. Some go to take a holy bath.

Whereas some aim to visit after a particular wish or motive is accomplished.

Well, 1000s and 1000s of years ago, there were no borders. We were just one land across the world until dynasties and people created borders and separated the world into their own kingdoms and places. Hence, today we are all living in countries, states, and cities.

God didn’t see any border; hence, he is in a lot of places. Many mythological incidents happened beyond Indian borders. Hence, people need to travel across countries and borders to be there.

Prayers beyond borders.

We all know we need permits, passports, visas, and special permissions to move around these places of worship. At times, we need to go through tour packages to get hassle-free entry, as they have good connections, plus an easy way to pass early on your permits. They know places and spots and arrangements that could help you visit within your budget. People have to save for years to fulfil their life’s agenda or help their family and parents achieve what they wish.

Each country has its own set of rules and permits. They need a lot of paperwork and processes. Each country has also cherished and maintained these temples. Mosques and churches to visit to. Once you arrive at the end point of your country, you will come to a port or indo- other country borders called as check post. Some are just neighbours, while for some you need to fly for a few hours. Here you will have to show your necessary documents and reason for stay. With a lot of effort and waiting, you will get to cross them. Now, these are all international border crossings that need a permit.

Nepal has multiple ones with India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. Be it Pashupatinath, Mansarovar yatra, Muktinath, Lumbini, Katas Raj, Golden Temple, Muneeswaram.

Weve been aquainted recently with the most visited and international tirth called the Mansarovar yatra. The port and Checkpoint has been tremendously on news with the recent Flash floods in Nepal.

Gyirong Port

It’s a major international crossing for the Mansarovar yatra. It serves as a gateway to Tibet, China, and a place called Rasuwagadhi in Nepal. This port was built and created to provide an easy permit entry to cross countries for religious purposes. This place is a symbol of a friendship bridge. It lies on the China National Highway. You will see thousands of travellers, tourists, and groups come to visit and wait for long durations to get in.

It lies in the beautiful Himalayan village, and you can see the Trishuli River. This port is also used for bilateral trade and tourism. You will need a visa for China, Tibetan border permits, and some documents to reach there. Without these, you cannot go here, and there so better pack well.

We are deeply saddened by the recent flash floods that took place at Gyirong port, and so many lives lost. It’s important to note that places in mountain regions and moving towards other countries need precautions and pre-plans. Though this was unforeseen, some places need to be visited in a certain season and time frame. Let’s all pray for Nepal and the lives lost there.

Hence, be well prepared, as such travel plans can have such unforeseen incidents. It’s always better not to travel alone to such places but to travel with a well-known company so that they can take care of us. After such events, the travel company’s only task is to make you reach home safely. So keep up some extra expenses aside for it. Though we wish that you have safe travels, always have backups.
