Rasuwa – A path to Langtang, Nepal – a beauty that will stay with you forever

Rasuwa

Rasuwa! Where you breathe easy, clean air and see eyes filled with the beauty of the greens. Waking up to a clear sky and sleeping under a bed of stars. Early morning Buddhist chants and the sound of the Buddhist gongs and bells. Cows grazing and beautiful birdies with colors—locals with a cute smile and humble welcomes.

Far away, as you walk through the landscape, you will see small villages along the riverbanks, smoke rising from the chimneys. Little children running to school with bags, walking with sheer joy.

While seeing families working in fields and going about daily chores its an absolute mountain range scene. Maggie and thukpa at the local dhaba, smelling the amazing local delights. The greens are lush with flora and fauna.

The vibe is peaceful; at the same time, a sleep in this place you shall never forget. We all know what it is to be in the mountains and the peace you can feel and sense out there.

Many travel all the way up from the hustle and bustle, and the Buddhist bells with the greens and sky blues make up for a hot coffee me-time.

If we speak about the North, it is always a pleasant stay. It is still definitely heaven up there, as it is still not allowed to fully commercialise the ranges.

Hidden in the Himalayas are these cute villages you will encounter on the hillsides, fields, on a plateau, or right before the summits. Human existence is limited at high altitude; you will see how basic needs are fewer as you go up.

The Himalayan mountain range is vast and diverse, and spans landscapes and a common share to different countries.

Its beauty fascinates many tourists, trekkers, travellers, and also those who want to explore the mythological stories of the mountains.

From snow-capped, ice-packed mountains to the greenery, a nature lover’s cherry on the cake. Pastures and plateaus with those tiny yellow and white flowers. The smell of the forest and leaves is so relaxing. The Himalayan landscapes are on another level of experience. You will be overjoyed to see pastures and hilly areas. The best part is the cold water that flows and how easily you can consume it is full of nutrition.

The Alps have many lakes and rivers that flow through these ranges.

Rasuwa - Nepal’s beauty

Nepal, our neighboring country, is yet another stunner one can’t miss in the North. It has all that a mountain lover would want to have. Imagine all the peaks in one flow in the ranges. It has all ten of the 10 tallest ones. Especially the Mount Everest.

The country has massive ranges, and its beauty can make you awestruck. From very famous viewpoints like the Poon Hill and Sarangkot. The panoramic views can mesmerise you. The sunsets and sunrises are worth a watch. The Humongous Annapurna is a massive mountain range which absolutely visible from many village stays.

With Nepal having several hilly and mountainous villages, you will come across a place called Rasuwa in the news today. Sadly, with the flash floods, it has been a complete disaster caused by nature. But let us take a trip to the past and tell you a bit about this place and its importance.

So, Rasuwa is a stunning and beautiful place in the alpine region of the Himalayas in Nepal. It has a very rich culture and heritage. The Tamang and Tibetan spread out as a population here. It falls in the Bagmati area, and it is a major border with Tibet. You will also meet some famous Sherpa communities, Gurungs, and Brahmins. The families sustain themselves here through farming, tourism, and trekking.

Whoever wishes to go to Langtang to trek and reach the sacred altitudes has to be here in this province to also do the Mansarovar darshan. Thousands of people from across the world visit this province each year. It’s also called the Langtang National Park. It’s beautiful, and you know why: it is an entire valley of glaciers.

It also has a hiking trail called the Kyanjin Ri and Gosainkunda Lake, which are at higher altitudes. As we shared you will be so many people from Tamang and Tibetans that you will notice it while you stroll around. Buddhist flags, villages, traditional attire, cuisine, music, temples, food, and prayers. You will feel as if you are walking in the most peaceful zone. The monasteries are a lifetime experience and many a time a life-changing experience.

You can also visit the Lake Nepal here, which has very fresh water. The region has some cool festivals that bring people together. These religious gatherings include Tibetan Buddhist rituals. You can celebrate it with them in Losar- the Tibetan New Year. Dance, chill, and listen to the famous music. The Hindus here celebrate the prunima called the Janai, and you can’t miss the sacred lake rituals at the Gosainkunda Lake.

You will also love the local handmade textiles, home decor, bags, and crafts with beautiful Tamang embroidery. The Nepali cotton is created mostly by artists here in Rasuwa. You can’t miss picking them up. The tote bags, Punches, jackets, and local spices too.
