Lollapalooza sounds like a name we’ve heard somewhere. Is it a place or something? Well, let us tell you it’s a famous music festival which is much-awaited by people who love music and are fond of attending concerts. This concert is trending and famous abroad as well as in India. Where does this happen in India? It took place recently and will be held every year. This time it was in the city that never sleeps, that’s Mumbai.
Its a festival that attracts thousands of people from across the country rushing to get their entry passes for their favourite music bands. The event is just 2 days, but the buzz attracts more than 60k music lovers. In January 2026 its the 4th edition and was held at the Mahalakshmi Racecourse grounds in Mumbai.
From solo recitals to genres from classical to rock, Music concerts are live performances where our favourite artists perform, giving a close encounter to their fans. 2026 is bang on with its lineup of the best artists. Linkin Park has been everyone’s favourite band and has been making headlines since it performed this year. This band started in 1996. It’s a famous and well-known American Rock band. It uses rock and metal and definitely some hip-hop. It has been quite influential amongst the youth. Their album Hybrid Theory was a lot of success in the year 2000. We all love their songs “ In the End” and “Numb”. Their band has a new vocalist, Emily Armstrong, helping them build some genre-bending music
In November 2024, Linkin Park came up with their new studio album “From Zero,” featuring their first album with Emily Armstrong and Colin Brittain on the drums. “The Empitness Machine” and “ Heavy is the Crown”. New tracks have all up since 2025. Well, Linkin Park is too excited as it’s their first-ever tour in India. India was a long-desired destination. India has a huge population of passionate fans, making it a huge moment for Linkin Park as a band. As the band is on their Zero World tour, they are thrilled by the quick sell-outs.
Another brilliant artist Jordon Carter, known as Playboi Carti, has been famous and influential American rapper. He has been known for his pioneering rage subgenre and eccentric vocal style. Especially its “baby voice”. He carries a great sense of fashion and blends trap with punk. He adds some cool atmospheric sounds. He gained his fame from SoundCloud hits. “ Magnolia” is one of his famous songs, which was signed with AWGE and Interscope. He has evolved from the cult underground artist to a mainstream force. He is well known for his persona and huge fan base. In 2025, he released his album Music. Plaboy Carti is quite excited to come to India and perform at the event.

Some prominent Indian artists will perform at Lollapalooza. Let’s get to know them closely. We’ve got folk metal band Bloodywood. They are from the capital city of India, New Delhi. They are unique with their music skills, including a blend of heavy metal with some great traditional indian folk music. They incorporate instruments like the flute and dhol. They often add some cool rap. They gained a lot of success on their YouTube covers like Rakshak and Nu Delhi. They are India’s first metal band to chart on the Billboard.
Next lineup is Ankur Tewari & The Ghalat Family. They are a known Hindi rock band project. You can’t miss the pioneering Indian-American musician Karsh Kale. He has been a great composer and producer. Fusing traditional Indian music with some electronics, rock, and classical. He has been a key figure in the Asian Underground movement.
